Psycho travellers know no boundaries; they recognise no borders for them the journey is everything, the producer-songwriter ­performer $olal is one of them. He is drawn to the beats and rhythms, the stories and the truths that are revealed in the music of country folk as well as urban dwellers from the heat and dust of Latin America to the raw edges of angst that have emanated from Country music's capital city Nashville USA.

It was to Nashville that the native Parisian travelled with his guitar to exorcise his personal demons, he found a haven in the legendary Three Trees Studio Tennessee where under the influence of Moonshine and in the company of Bucky Baxter's trusted friends and musicians he completed his new album.

Fifth album of the french indie band Dionysos, Monsters in Love is a totally wacky and deeply poetic experience. The band, obviously very inspired, does not hesitate to record incongruous sounds they skillfully incorporate into their melodies. The author and composer, Mathieu Malzeu, has a magical universe of his one which can be a little scary sometimes. Tim Burton is obviously a big influence of his... You'll thus meet a giant, a cat-man, a witch and many other strange creatures in Monsters in Love. Musically, this goes from classic chanson to distorted indie rock, circus music and more... all for the benefit of the listener's entertainment! Lyrics are great in their own quirky little way (some are in english, others in french), musics are their perfect equivalent bringing smiles on your face at every turn of this sweet cd. Dionysos is, no doubt about it, one of the very best act out of France, one you must absolutely try!
